If you're looking to boost your web security and protect your sensitive information from online threats, look no further than the Trellix Endpoint Security Web Control Chrome extension. This powerful extension works seamlessly with the Trellix Endpoint Security Web Control software, providing you with color-coded URL safety ratings and blocking malicious web-page navigation and suspicious file downloads.

With a total rating of 2.4 out of 5 based on user reviews, this extension has garnered mixed feedback from users. Let's dive into my own personal experience with the Trellix Endpoint Security Web Control Chrome extension, highlighting both the positive and negative aspects based on user reviews.

A Perfect Security Solution

One user, Edwin Garzón, praised the extension for its flawless performance, describing it as an excellent tool. This positive feedback suggests that the extension is capable of effectively protecting against potential security threats.

Room for Improvement

However, not all users have had a positive experience. User samuel silva described the extension as "trash," indicating a less than satisfactory experience. Negative reviews like this highlight areas where the extension can be improved to meet user expectations.

User-Friendly Interface

One common complaint among users is the difficulty in removing the extension from their devices. Tiffany Evans expressed frustration with her inability to delete the extension and described it as "hot garbage." This feedback suggests that the extension should provide an intuitive and easy-to-use interface for uninstallation.

Impact on Web Browsing

User jammy Crockett expressed frustration with the extension's restrictions, mentioning that it interferes with accessing social media platforms and playing games. This feedback indicates that the extension may need to refine its filtering capabilities to avoid blocking legitimate websites and applications.

Compatibility Issues

Some users have reported compatibility issues with certain platforms. D4rk Cl4w26 mentioned that the extension incorrectly labels social apps as games, resulting in unnecessary blocks. Satyajit Sahu highlighted the extension's interference with downloads on udemy, disrupting the learning experience. These user experiences suggest that the extension should improve its compatibility with various websites and applications.

Conclusion

While the Trellix Endpoint Security Web Control Chrome extension shows promise in enhancing web security, the mixed user reviews indicate areas for improvement. With a total rating of 2.4 out of 5, it's clear that the extension has both strengths and weaknesses. By addressing the concerns raised by users and refining its functionality, this extension has the potential to become a reliable and effective tool for protecting against online threats.

now you might see the 4 stars and be like "what is this guy on??" but hear me out for a second. first things first let's talk about Trellix's anti-virus, now it does work well (not necessarily better then others but i mean it still protects your data) it does still have the same problem as most anti-virus things being that it says things that aren't viruses are viruses. next let's talk about the web control, it does work well, for the price of it (about $150 USD) you can use it to help yourself from possible bad internet habits, and it can be used for businesses. next up is School use of Trellix, schools of course are why most of you would be reading this, I would say some of it is ok and better then other school web control services, and of course schools legally have to block some things (hacking, certain activates involving children, ETC) but there are other things such as social media that they don't need to block. overall I would say it's a good service sometimes used incorrectly. P.S. stop telling the creators to kill themselves, you can disable it temporarily by opening Trellix, (as admin) clicking web controls then click the boxes that have a X or a :checkmark: then clicking apply.

good app used for bad cause blocks unnecessary sites, go to your task manager (ctrl, alt, and delete) look for trellix web control service and right click to end the task, if it doesnt let you end it regularly then right click "go to details" right click what's highlighted then click "properties" then click the security tab, click "advanced" then click "disable inheritance, then click "remove all inherited permissions from this object" then click apply and it should be good ??

Ok so one of the comments say how to uninstall but at first when I to go uninstall it, it said that one or more apps are dependent on it and it wouldn't let me delete it (fyi this is a school windows laptop) try all of them and read the pop ups on you screen before you click anything I don't know how to explain it but yea just check all of them and check the comment by "Aphmau Fan" in these reviews it shows how to remove it and where to go to remove it. Byeee hope these 2 comments helpeddddd ?????✊?✊????
